The Itinerary for a One Day Sailing Trip from Aegina

Your one day sailing adventure begins at 11:00 AM from the main port of Aegina, easily accessible via a short ferry ride from Piraeus. The trip concludes at 5:00 PM, allowing plenty of time to explore the stunning Saronic Gulf.

We offer two itinerary options, tailored to your preferences.

Whichever route you choose, expect a memorable day at sea, filled with adventure, relaxation, and stunning island landscapes.

✔ Route 1: More Relaxation & Swim Time

Sail west of Aegina, dropping anchor at two unspoiled coves.
First stop: Moni Island – Swim in crystal-clear waters and spot the island’s wild peacocks and deer.
Second stop: Either Kira or Agistri, where you’ll enjoy a freshly cooked Greek lunch onboard.
Return to Aegina at 5:00 PM, giving you time to stroll through the charming port town, admire the neoclassical architecture, and enjoy dinner at a local taverna before catching the last ferry to Piraeus at 8:50 PM.

✔ Route 2: More Exploration & Sightseeing

Sail from Aegina to Agistri and Moni, anchoring in two stunning coves for swimming & snorkeling.
Savor a delicious Greek lunch onboard, surrounded by breathtaking coastal scenery.
Continue sailing around the island before arriving at Agia Marina at 5:00 PM.
Visit the iconic Aphaia Temple, one of the most well-preserved ancient Greek sanctuaries, before catching the 7:20 PM ferry back to Piraeus.

How to get to Aegina and back

Take a taxi or the metro (blue line) to the port of Piraeus. Just next to the metro station Gate 8 is located, from where you can catch one of the numerous ferries in the morning. It will take 40 min with the High-Speed-ferry (19 € per adult) or 1h10 min with the normal ferry (10,50 € -12 €).

The last ferry from Aegina back to Piraeus leaves the port at 8:50 pm, and from Agia Marina the last ferry departs at 7:20 p.m. (30 min).

Agia Marina – A picturesque cove with a small marina on the northeast coast of Aegina. Beyond its crystal-clear waters, this area is home to one of Greece’s most significant ancient sites—the Temple of Aphaia.

The Temple of Aphaia – Older than the Parthenon of Athens, yet remarkably well-preserved, this iconic sanctuary remains a hidden gem due to its remote location. Nestled among lush pine trees, it forms part of an ancient “Holy Triangle”, aligning with the Parthenon in Athens and the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio.

Located 1.7 km uphill from the port, the temple is accessible on foot or by taxi (€20).
